It’s good to prepare your own private workspace with a "Writer’s Write" sign hanging on the wall above your computer screen. And let’s face it, you do write! You submit manuscript after manuscript, only to have each one followed by a form rejection letter. It’s frustrating, but it’s okay. After all, you are working. And aren’t you told it’s all part of the process to help you become a full-fledged, published writer? I mean, aren’t you doing everything that you’re supposed to do? What more can be done?

Bruce Allen of the Blue Phantom Bravo group has had a winning September. On the 20th and 21st, he attended the League of Utah Writers Roundup. He had entered
manuscripts in five categories and requested a meeting with C. Lee Nunn of American Book Publishing. What happened at the event?

Let me tell you a story. A jealous husband wanted to do away with his wife, but he wasn’t sure how to go about doing it. One day, he sat alone in a bar, soaking his misery in drink. A man approached him and said, "Hey, Buddy, I can help you with your problems if you’ll buy me a bottle." The jealous husband said, "Okay, Mac. I’ll buy you a bottle if you can tell me how to get rid of my wife." The stranger replied, "Go over to that booth and sit down. In a little while, somebody will come who will be able to help you."

"How do you find time to write?" That question was posed to three prolific authors at a conference I recently attended.
